Aces High

Just the other day I was watching MTV, then this show called Score came on. I saw like guitars and amplifiers in the background so I thought it might be pretty cool. Then I saw Ryan Cabrera come out as host and explaining what this show was all about.

They pit two guitarists against each other who have to put together a song in one day to win. The prize being a weekend away at a resort with a really hot chick. So i suppose these guitarists are bachelors. Oh and the song they create must include all 4 words that the girl chooses to make it more interesting, and perform it live in front of an audience.

So the episode I watched had these two guitarists, one being obviously cooler than the other. Both from different genres, Punk Rock (Chris) and Bryan Adams-ish (Justin). Yes he called himself the new Bryan Adams, oh that guy was the cooler one. So they each took turns working with the rest of Ryan's band and then working the lyrics out with Ryan himself.

It was very obvious from the studio footage that Justin was doing so much better than Chris. He had so much better ideas and had a better voice to begin with. Ryan was really impressed with Justin while writing the lyrics, and not so with Chris. Of course la, Punk Rock is very lame.

So when they went live, Chris went up first with his song "Scrabble" which didn't sound very good. Very noisy. Justin went up soon after Chris and played his piece "Closer To You", that one was so friggin cool. Check it Out.



Winner was very obvious there. Justin la. Duh.

On another note, I was given a Grade 6 piece by my guitar teacher just for kicks. It's called Mud Pie from the Texas Blues genre. It sounds so good. But as most songs that sound good. It's really hard.



So soon after that I just checked out the Grade 8 songs for fun. I found this one called 667 which sounds awesome.

Just recently Malaysian weather has been very pissing off. When it's hot, it's hot like Jessica Alba. When it rains, it's as heavy as Sean Kingston.
